Who Can Apply

Regular PhD

  • Master’s degree (ME/MTech/MSc) or Bachelor’s (BE/BTech) in any relevant discipline with a valid GATE score.

  • MSc or equivalent with a valid GATE score.

  • Candidates qualified in INSPIRE, CSIR-UGC NET JRF, or DBT JRF.

  • BTech students from CFTIs with a CGPA ≥ 8.0 (no GATE required).

  • External PhD: For working professionals from industry / research labs (with NOC).

Direct PhD

  • For students with exceptional academic records (CGPA ≥ 9.0) in BTech/BE/BS/MSc from IITs, NITs, IISERs, or equivalent institutions.

  • Higher stipend compared to regular MoE funding.
