About the Lab
The Advanced Nanorobots & Multiscale Robotic Laboratory, led by Prof. Martin Pumera, is one of Europe’s pioneering centers in nanorobotics and smart energy systems. The group’s research bridges materials science, nanotechnology, microrobotics, and energy innovation, advancing sustainable solutions for energy generation, storage, and biomedical applications.
The lab is part of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, and collaborates closely with leading institutions and international research partners.
What You’ll Work On
As a PhD candidate, you’ll explore:

Design and fabrication of electrochemical nanorobots for energy conversion

Nano-enabled energy storage systems, including advanced batteries and fuel cells

Who Should Apply
