About the IMB-CNM-CSIC

About the Visiting Program

The María de Maeztu Visiting Young Researchers Program aims to attract promising early-career scientists and introduce them to IMB-CNM’s technology-intensive environment. Selected fellows will:

    • Energy and Mobility

    • Physics Frontiers and Civil Security

  • Gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge fabrication and characterization techniques.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary nanoscience projects that bridge physics, chemistry, materials, and biology.

  • Strengthen professional networks and career development in Europe’s nanotechnology ecosystem.

Financial Support

Each selected participant will receive a €3,000 fellowship to cover travel, accommodation, and living expenses for their research stay in Barcelona.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be affiliated with an academic or research institution outside Spain (any nationality).

  • Obtain a letter of acceptance from an IMB-CNM group leader confirming willingness to host.

  • Demonstrate academic excellence and motivation for research in micro/nano-related disciplines.

  • Be responsible for their own visa and insurance arrangements during the stay.
