About Candidate

I have a strong multidisciplinary background spanning materials science, mechanical engineering, Bioengineering and Indian knowledge systems. My doctoral work at NIT Warangal focused on the fabrication and experimental investigations of nanoparticle-reinforced Al7150 metal matrix composites, with expertise in stir casting, ultrasonic-assisted casting, functionally graded materials, and advanced characterization techniques (OM, SEM, XRD, DSC, FTIR, UTM, wear and tribological studies). I extended this into applications such as additive manufacturing, high-temperature shape memory alloys, biomaterials, and self-healing materials. At IIT Guwahati, my postdoctoral research explored ancient herbal plant-based applications for food grain preservation, bridging traditional knowledge with modern nanotechnology and sustainable storage solutions. Alongside, I have industry experience in applied R&D and teaching experience at leading Indian institutes. With 23 publications (17 SCI, 4 Scopus, 2 book chapters), an h-index of 10, and expertise in composite materials, nanotechnology, tribology, and sustainable biomaterials, your research demonstrates both depth and versatility. My current interests include developing advanced composites, plant-based nanomaterials, and functional materials for energy, health, and marine applications, aligning well with global research priorities in sustainability and advanced manufacturing.

Education

P
PhD in Mechanical Engineering Department 2020
National Institute of Technology Warangal

 We developed a novel fabrication technique to fabricate nanoparticle-reinforced Al7150 MMCs.  Especially looked at uniform distribution of nanoparticles in the liquid metal  Identified the process parameters for the optimal distribution  The effect of nanoparticle reinforcement on microstructure, density, microhardness, porosity and ultimate tensile strength was studied  Tribological behaviour and optimal process parameters have been investigated for minimum wear loss and coefficient of friction  Microstructure studies using the optical microscope for grain refinement and electron microscopy for nanoparticle distribution, fracture surface and wear surface Master

M
Master of Technology 2013
National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli

 We designed a new tool (bundle electrode) for EDM process  The research investigated optimal process parameters of EDM process for maximum MRR  It proved the bundle electrode has better MRR is compared to conventional electrodes

B
Bachelors of Engineering 2011
Osmania University

I have completed my Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
