The Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology at The University of Queensland invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in the area of solar batteries and redox flow batteries. The role is part of research programs funded by Australian Research Council Discovery and Linkage Projects and will be conducted within the research group led by Associate Professor Bin Luo.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career researcher to develop expertise and establish a strong research profile in energy storage technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate project tasks, deliverables, and reporting.
- Collaborate with project partners and participate in research meetings to discuss methodology and outcomes.
- Conduct experimental research and data analysis in energy storage systems.
- Publish research results in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.
- Assist with supervision of junior researchers and students.
- Support technology transfer, commercialization opportunities, and competitive research funding applications.
Candidate Profile
- PhD in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, or a related discipline.
- Expertise in functional materials for rechargeable battery technologies.
- Research experience with rechargeable batteries, especially redox flow batteries and/or solar batteries.
- An emerging publication record in reputable scientific journals.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
