Saint-Gobain India is seeking a Research Engineer I specializing in the structure of materials to support research projects related to gypsum-based materials. The role involves characterization and analysis of material structures using advanced microscopy and thermal analysis techniques.

The successful candidate will contribute to experimental studies, data analysis, and development of materials science insights relevant to gypsum product research and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Characterize materials using techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and optical microscopy.
• Conduct thermal analysis using TGA/DSC to understand material properties.
• Analyze experimental data and interpret results using statistical and analytical tools.
• Support research activities in gypsum materials and structural analysis.
• Prepare reports and presentations using MS Office tools.

Required Skills

• XRD and SEM characterization techniques.
• Optical microscopy.
• Thermal analysis methods (TGA/DSC).
• Data analysis and statistical understanding.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools.

Candidate Profile

• Educational background in Materials Science, Physics, Materials Science and Metallurgy, Inorganic Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
• 0–5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary industrial research environment.
