The program is designed for graduates interested in polymer science, materials chemistry, and interdisciplinary research spanning chemistry, physics, and materials science.<\/p>\n<p>PhD projects at IMC focus on cutting-edge areas including polymer synthesis, chemical and physical modification of macromolecules, advanced characterization techniques, and innovative materials applications.<\/p>\n<h3>Program Structure<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>PhD research is conducted in IMC laboratories in collaboration with partner universities.<\/li>\n<li>Students enroll in a PhD program at a partner university while conducting their research at IMC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Partner Universities<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague \u2013 Faculty of Chemical Technology, Faculty of Chemical Engineering, and Faculty of Food and Biochemical Technology.<\/li>\n<li>Charles University \u2013 Faculty of Science and Faculty of Mathematics and Physics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Relevant doctoral programs include Macromolecular Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Biophysics, and Chemical and Macromolecular Physics.<\/p>\n<h3>Research Topics<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Polymer synthesis and macromolecular chemistry.<\/li>\n<li>Chemical and physical modification of polymers.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced materials characterization.<\/li>\n<li>Functional materials and advanced applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Specific PhD topics can be tailored to the candidate\u2019s interests in agreement with the supervisor.<\/p>\n<h3>Admission Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Completed university degree in chemistry, physics, materials science, mathematics, engineering, or related scientific fields.<\/li>\n<li>Submission of an application and participation in admission interviews at IMC and the partner university.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Funding and Benefits<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>PhD scholarship provided by the partner university.<\/li>\n<li>Simultaneous employment as a full-time staff member at IMC.<\/li>\n<li>Access to IMC research facilities and laboratories.<\/li>\n<li>Limited accommodation available through the institute.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Institute currently hosts around 50 PhD students conducting research in advanced materials and macromolecular
