The Battery Engineer will play an essential role in evaluating and optimizing battery materials and processes in the CarbonX laboratory.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n

  • Work with engineers and technicians to evaluate and improve battery materials and processes.<\/li>\n
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety procedures.<\/li>\n
  • Conduct quality control, ensuring precision and accuracy of experimental results.<\/li>\n
  • Record detailed observations and prepare comprehensive technical reports.<\/li>\n
  • Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot problems and optimize production workflows.<\/li>\n
  • Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Option 1 \u2013 Slurry \/ Electrode Focus<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • Slurry mixing and rheology analysis.<\/li>\n
    • Measurement of fineness and solid content.<\/li>\n
    • Electrode coating and calendaring.<\/li>\n
    • Electrode quality control and characterization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Option 2 \u2013 Cell Assembly Focus<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • Coin cell and SLP cell assembly.<\/li>\n
      • Battery testing and data processing.<\/li>\n
      • Post-mortem analysis of battery cells.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Candidate Profile<\/h3>\n
          \n
        • MBO, HBO, or Bachelor\u2019s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.<\/li>\n
        • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a battery laboratory environment.<\/li>\n
        • Expertise in one or more areas such as slurry preparation, coating, calendaring, or SLP assembly.<\/li>\n
        • Experience performing laboratory tests and analytical procedures.<\/li>\n
        • Strong understanding of quality control methodologies.<\/li>\n
        • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.<\/li>\n
        • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.<\/li>\n
        • Interest in sustainable energy and innovative battery technologies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
