The position is associated with the ERC Consolidator Grant project <em>\u201cEngineering Multivalency for Superselective Recognition of Pathogen Targets (EngToTarget)\u201d<\/em>, focusing on molecular self-assembly, colloidal systems, biosensing interfaces, and advanced materials characterization.<\/p>\n<h3>Research Focus<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Development of nanostructured and mesoporous materials for biosensing and biointerface applications.<\/li>\n<li>Investigation of colloidal and biomolecular interactions including adsorption, binding, transport, and assembly processes.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced characterization of soft matter, colloids, and bio\u2013nano interfaces.<\/li>\n<li>Analysis of protein interactions and selective molecular recognition at functional interfaces.<\/li>\n<li>Integration of quantitative data analysis and imaging methodologies for complex materials systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop robust and reproducible experimental workflows.<\/li>\n<li>Perform advanced characterization and data analysis of nanostructured materials.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with interdisciplinary researchers across materials science, chemistry, life sciences, and engineering.<\/li>\n<li>Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present results at conferences.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to grant development and dissemination activities.<\/li>\n<li>Mentor and support PhD, Master\u2019s, and undergraduate researchers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Candidate Profile<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Nanoscience, or a related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Strong experimental background in soft matter, colloid science, biointerfaces, or nanomaterials characterization.<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with one or more advanced characterization techniques such as AFM, ellipsometry, Raman spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, light scattering, X-ray scattering, or QCM-D.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with biosensing, biomolecular interactions, colloidal systems, mesoporous materials, or nanostructured interfaces is advantageous.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with scientific programming, image analysis, or quantitative data analysis is beneficial.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and spoken English communication
