AMO is currently seeking a Research Associate to work on electronic and optoelectronic devices based on two-dimensional (2D) materials. The successful candidate will contribute to experimental research involving device fabrication, characterization, and development of scalable microfabrication processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Characterization of 2D materials using techniques such as Raman spectroscopy, SEM, AFM, and related analytical tools.
- Microfabrication of 2D-material-based electronic and optoelectronic devices.
- Optimization of fabrication processes using innovative approaches.
- Electrical and optoelectronic characterization of fabricated devices.
- Development of wafer-scale fabrication processes and scaling of device production.
- Literature review, experimental data analysis, and interpretation of research results.
- Participation in project meetings, collaboration with research partners, and reporting of results.
- Dissemination of research results through peer-reviewed publications and international conferences.
Candidate Profile
- Master’s degree in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor devices and microfabrication technologies.
- Experience with or knowledge of 2D materials.
- Understanding of quantum physics and quantum device concepts.
- Ability to work both independently and within an interdisciplinary research team.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of German is advantageous as the project is part of a German national research programme.
