Position Overview
The Microfabrication Process Engineer will develop and optimize semiconductor fabrication processes for CCRAFT’s TFLN photonic foundry. The role focuses on process engineering, yield improvement, metrology analysis, process qualification, and technology development while supporting the foundry roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute microfabrication process experiments for technology development.
- Develop, qualify, release, and transfer new process modules into production.
- Define process windows and manufacturing specifications.
- Collect and analyze fabrication data for process qualification and continuous improvement.
- Implement statistical process control (SPC), root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Prepare technical documentation, process reports, and maintain process traceability.
- Own technology modules throughout development, qualification, and production.
- Collaborate with design, PDK, testing, production, and customer engineering teams.
- Support procurement, installation, and qualification of fabrication equipment.
Required Qualifications
- MSc or PhD in Microengineering, Photonics, Materials Science, Physics, or related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in semiconductor or integrated photonic fabrication processes.
- Experience with TFLN processing is highly desirable.
- Hands-on expertise in lithography, etching, thin-film deposition, and semiconductor microfabrication.
- Experience using cleanroom metrology tools including SEM, AFM, EDX, ellipsometry, and thin-film stress measurements.
- Experience with Design of Experiments (DoE) and root-cause analysis.
- Excellent English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Programming or scripting skills in Python.
- Knowledge of integrated photonics and optical device physics.
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
