About the Institute

The Institute of Plant Genetics PAS in Poznań is one of Europe’s leading research hubs in plant sciences. Its Plant Nanotechnology Department is pioneering work in enzyme kinetics, molecular crowding, and artificial carbon fixation.

Research Scope & Tasks

Selected postdocs will contribute to cutting-edge biocatalysis and protein engineering research, including:

  • Task 1: Develop and characterize biomimetic fluids using Ionic Liquids (ILs) & Deep Eutectic Solvents (DESs).

  • Task 2: Study enzyme stability & kinetics (HRP, GOx, CA, Rubisco) in crowded nanofluids.

  • Task 3: Investigate substrate channeling & cascade efficiency in GOx-HRP reactions.

  • Task 4: Perform molecular dynamics simulations of protein-protein interactions.

  • Task 5: Explore in vitro CO2 fixation using enzyme cascade systems.

Required Qualifications

Postdoc-1

  • PhD in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Chemical Biology.

  • Strong background in protein stability, ionic liquids, molecular crowding.

  • Experience in biophysical techniques, synthesis, enzyme kinetics.

Postdoc-2

  • PhD in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Chemical Biology.

  • Strong background in biocatalysis & enzyme kinetics.

  • Experience with computational simulations & protein interactions preferred.
