The School of Materials Science and Technology (SMST) at the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi, in collaboration with the Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica (INRiM), Italy, is organizing the Indo-Italy Joint Workshop on Emergent Magnetic Storage Devices and Sensors from 18 to 19 November 2025.
This international workshop aims to bring together leading researchers, scientists, and industry experts from India and Italy to explore cutting-edge advancements in magnetic storage technologies, quantum materials, and spintronic devices. The event will provide a platform for academic interaction, collaborative research, and technology exchange between the two nations.
Workshop Overview
The rapid evolution of magnetic and spin-based technologies is paving the way for next-generation storage and sensing applications. This two-day workshop will focus on recent breakthroughs in magnetic random-access memory (MRAM), spin-orbit torque devices, topological magnetic states, and quantum sensing architectures.
