This role offers the unique opportunity to engage in hands-on materials design and synthesis using tools such as bioprinting for advanced drug delivery systems and therapeutic devices.

This fixed-term, full-time position (40 hrs/week) is situated within the Faculty of AgriSciences, in a state-of-the-art laboratory environment. The research team focuses on developing intelligent nanosystems—like nano-motors, smart sensors, and responsive materials—with real-world applications in medicine, energy, and environmental science.

You will solve complex scientific challenges through independent research, participate in national and international collaborations, and publish in leading scientific journals. The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, or biomedical sciences, and has demonstrated expertise in nanomaterial synthesis, bioprinting, and characterization methods such as XRD, SEM, FTIR, and rheological analysis.

Added value will be given to candidates with hands-on experience with CELLINK INKREDIBLE Bioprinter, cell culture, and light/confocal microscopy. The role also requires strong communication in both Czech and English.

Beyond research, Mendel University offers a vibrant academic ecosystem with 6 weeks of vacation, training opportunities, university daycare, and employee benefits like meal vouchers, wellness programs, and discounted sports and cultural access.

Contract duration runs until December 31, 2025, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding.
