Role Overview

Join Workgroup 1 of CENTERA, led by Prof. Wojciech Knap, to investigate novel solid-state phenomena relevant to terahertz (THz) technologies. Your core tasks will involve:

  • 🧪 Processing nanotechnology devices

  • 📡 Characterizing samples using THz Fourier & time-domain spectroscopy

  • 📝 Preparing manuscripts, research reports, and grant proposals

  • 🤝 Collaborating with international research institutions and industry


Eligibility Criteria

✅ Ph.D. in nanotechnology, materials engineering, solid-state physics, or a related discipline (earned after 2020)
✅ Strong command of English (additional European languages a plus)
✅ Experience in nanodevice processing, low-dimensional electron systems, and optical spectroscopy techniques (FTIR, TDS)
✅ Familiarity with cryogenics and magnetic field experiments
✅ Preferably worked with Free Electron Lasers, High Magnetic Fields, or similar infrastructure
